| The MTI-2100 Fotonic Sensor is a high-resoulution fiber optic based vibration/displacement sensor with extremely high frequency response. The system offers a bandwidth up to 500 kHz and resolution to 0.01 microinch (2.5 Angstrom). |
|
The most popular and environmentally friendly motion and vibration sensors are the AU2400 and AU2401 series. Being gold plated, they have a superior contact surface.
A new version of motion and vibration sensors is the AG2400 and AG2401. For these the gold plating has been replaced by silver for less critical applications in order to reduce cost.
The motion or vibration sensors are %u201Cchange of state%u201D sensors; that is the contacts may be open or closed in any position but upon movement or vibration the contacts will change state intermittently.
The contact capacity is 24 Vac/dc, at 0.20 amps max and 5VA max.
Several different electrode configurations exist for hole and surface mounting.

| Optodyne's VS-5020 Vibration detector is a noncontact, highly sensitive means of measuring displacement, velocity, and acceleration. Performing as a storage oscilloscope for mechanical vibration, the VS-5020 meets precision engineering requirements of microelectronic, aerospace, automotive, and R&D applications. A two-axis system, the VS-5020 provides measurement accuracy of 1 ppm, resolution to 0.1 microinch, speed up to 200 in/sec, and frequency response from do to 400 kHz. The extremely high signal-to-noise ratio of this two-axis system permits the user to measure simultaneously both target and background phenomena, while maintaining the integrity of each measurement. |

Industrial accelerometers can be used to measure vibration, shock, velocity, displacement, tilt and inclination. The Vibration transducers Business Group spearheads Measurement Specialties' global initiative to focus on the accelerometer and vibration sensing business with customers in the automotive, medical, military/aerospace and consumer goods industries. This group builds on Measurement Specialties' Silicon MEMS, Bonded Strain Gage and Piezoelectric sensing technologies. More than any other sensor company, Measurement Specialties can choose the best possible technology to solve customer problems and achieve high performance at very competitive costs.
Piezoresistive Silicon MEMS & Bonded Strain Gage
Measurement Specialties' experience designing Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS) using silicon structures is unsurpassed in the world. We have developed and commercialized several product areas based on silicon micromachining technology, offering an unmatched range of standard products with a strong custom design capability.
Piezo Film & Ceramic
Measurement Specialties innovative approach for cost-effective piezoelectric accelerometer designs resides in its ability to use a broad range of materials including industrial crystals such as quartz or man-made ceramic and polymers that have piezoelectric properties. OEM manufacturers look towards this technology as it provides lower-cost sensors requiring no external power feeder.

Ultra-Trak passively monitors ultrasounds produced by operating equipment. It can be readily connected to alarms or industrial recorders for datalogging, thanks to its 4-20 mA current output, coupled with a pure demodulated output.
Housed in stainless steel, the rugged Ultra-Trak 750 is water resistant and dust proof which means it can be externally mounted in some of the most challenging environments. Couple this with an extraordinarily wide dynamic range of 120 dB and sensitivity adjustment, this sensor is ready to meet your most demanding sensing needs.
