The PresencePLUS® P4 BCR and high-resolution BCR 1.3 vision sensors have been developed from the ground up for the most robust 2D and 1D bar code reading capabilities - even when conditions and codes are less than ideal.
Banner PresencePLUS sensors are engineered to offer the highest read rates in low contrast/poor visibility conditions, or where marked or formed bar codes have degraded. The BCR is taught the correct codes, either with the sensor itself or over an industrial Ethernet network (EIP or Modbus TCP/IP). Banner's dedicated BCR solutions keep lines moving by reading despite problems such as low contrast, shadows, orientation, surface variations or marking variables resulting from degraded etching, stamping or printing.
BCR models read 2D Data Matrix ECC200 and 1D linear bar codes such as Code 39, Code 128, Codabar, Interleaved 2 of 5, EAN-8 and EAN-13 (supports UPC-A), UPC-E and Postnet. High-resolution BCR 1.3 models (1280 x 1024 pixels) feature 1.3 megapixel imaging that reads and grades smaller bar codes, or allows larger fields of view. | Vision Components' VisiCube camera, which measures only 65 x 45 x 45 mm and weighs 170 g, provides a highly compact image processing solution for industrial environments. The Smart Professional cameras come complete with measuring lights and an integrated lens. They feature a 400 MHz (3,200 MIPS) processor from Texas Instruments and a 1/4" Ccd sensor, which offers a 640 x 480 pixel resolution and a frame rate of 32 fps. The cameras are equipped with 32 MB DRAM and 4 MB Flash EPROM for program and data storage. They are integrated into existing automation environments via an RS422 and an Ethernet interface the latter also enables live video display on a PC. Standard equipment also includes two digital inputs and four outputs. A robust aluminum and plastic housing provides IP65/67 protection, making VisiCube units suitable for rugged environments. Further accessories, such as external lights, tilted mirrors and protective cases, allow for easy adaptation to specific requirements. Thanks to the Linux-like real time operating system VCRT, which was developed by Vision Components, the intelligent cameras can be freely programmed. | Hamamatsu designs and manufactures various types of image sensors that cover a wide range of intensity levels and spectral response ranges. Devices operate from near infrared (NIR) at 2.6 µm, through visible and ultraviolet (UV) down to soft X-rays and hard X-rays at several hundred keV. Our image sensors are made from either silicon or InGaAs. The Si image sensors are available as a CCD array, CMOS linear array and NMOS linear array. Large 2D CMOS arrays are also available for area X-ray imaging. InGaAs and CCD arrays can be cooled with a built-in thermoelectric cooler. At the same time, high sensibility and low dark current are achieved through the adoption of Super HAD CCD technology. This chip features a field period readout system and an electronic shutter with variable charge-storage time.

The MLX90255BC linear detector array consists of a 128 x 1 array of manufacturer of photodiodes, associated charge amplifier circuitry and a pixel data-hold function that provides simultaneous-integration start and stop times for all pixels. The pixels measure 200µm (H) by 66 µm (W). Operation is simplified by internal control logic that requires only a serial-input (SI) signal and a clock. The sensor consists of 128 photodiodes arranged in a linear array. Light energy falling on a photodiode generates photocurrent, which is integrated by the active integration circuitry associated with that pixel. During the integration period, a sampling capacitor connects to the output of the integrator through an analog switch. The amount of charge accumulated at each pixel is directly proportional to the light intensity and the integration time. The output and reset of the integrators is controlled by a 132-bit shift register and reset logic. An output cycle is initiated by clocking in a logic 1 on SI. This causes all 132 sampling capacitors to be disconnected from their respective integrators and starts an integrator reset period.

RadEye Large-Area Imaging sensors
The RadEye1 large-area image sensor is a three-side buttable, fully integrated CMOS photodiode array designed for both visible and radiation imaging. The large 24.6 mm by 49.2 mm active area consists of a 512 by 1024 matrix of silicon photodiodes on 48 µm centers. Used directly to detect visible light, or with a scintillator to detect x-rays and other energetic radiation, the RadEye1 is the perfect solution for applications ranging from medical diagnostics to industrial inspection (NDT) and scientific imaging.
The RadEye image sensors are fully integrated with control logic and readout circuitry that allow the sensors to run off a single 5 V manufacturers of power supply and a master clock. An optional frame start input can be used to control the frame rate externally between 0.01 and 4.5 frames per second. An asynchronous array reset, a high-speed binning mode, and a non-destructive readout mode further add to the flexibility of these devices. Video data is read out sequentially through a high-speed differential analog output at up to 2.5 MHz.
