Featuring the patented “Tuck-&-Fold” compression box, which densifies the material before shearing, the Harris BSH shears are available in capacities of up to 2,200 tons. The “Tuck-&-Fold” compression box reduces pre-processing time with no or minimal torch cutting operations, allowing fast feeding and great production. BSH shears are available with throat widths of 3’ to 5’ (.9m to 1.5m).
Other exclusive features include external gib and knife adjustments, Harris cylinders, a wide-open charge hopper for fast loading of irregular scrap, an easy-to-service power pack, and Teflon-protected pistons for minimum friction and more hours of trouble-free operation. It prosesses auto scrap, steel mill scrap, selected freight car and ship sections, shapes, pipe, plate, no. 2 heavy melting scrap, and selected no. 1 heavy melting scrap.

Developed with an emphasis on economy, the Harris line of ABS shears has proven to be fast and economical, meeting the needs of scrap processors around the world. Offered in 550, 800, and 1000 ton models, the ABS employs a unique concept in design; a pre-compression charging box in which one half of the box opens to accept scrap, and the other half remains rigid with the “Tuck-and-Fold” flipper. All this plus the dependable, heavy-duty construction found in more expensive shears makes the ABS shear a wise choice for any yard.
Other exclusive features include external gib and knife adjustments, Harris cylinders, an easy-to-service power pack, and Teflon-protected pistons for minimum friction and more hours of trouble-free operation. It processes steel mill scrap, shapes, pipes and plate, no. 2 heavy melting scrap, and selected no. 1 heavy melting scrap.

Applications
Neue Herbold GS series guillotines are used for the pre-size reduction of monofilament bales such as from fibre, bands or tapes, tacky film packages, extremely large lumps, start-up purgings or rubber bales.
Design
Neue Herbold GS series guillotines rigid all welded construction. The guillotine knife is mounted in a double sided channel and operates with two oversized hydraulic cylinders which meet the horizontal stator bar. The stator bar is fully adjustable to insure a precise and exact cut of the baled material. The cutting pressure of the guillotine knife can be adjusted to further insure a clean material cut. The material bale length cut can be controlled through a optional hydraulically operated gate.
Advantages
- precise adjustment of the vertical knife
- double sided frame construction
- vertical knife complete enclosed for safety
- fully adjustable stroke, knife speed and cutting pressure
- double sided knife channel
- two cylinder operation to insure true knife operation

- We design and provide special solutions for the scrap processing plant.
- The special design secures particularly efficiency in operation.
Main features:
- Rippled edges prevent little peaces getting squeezed between moving surfaces of the compression chamber.
- Prismatic guiding and stopper secure precise parallel movement of guiding parts.
- Upper part of the compression head is covered by scrapers, so that loading of scrap is even possible when the press is in operation.
- Compression head is equipped with V-type knifes, which cut easily overflowing pieces.

900 Series Belt Cutter
Safely and Accurately cuts belts up to 1-1/2" (38 mm) thick and up to 84" (2130 mm) wide.
Advanced features allow the 900 Series* Belt Cutter to achieve accurate cuts, every time:
- Robust blade design is guided at the top to ensure perpendicular cuts
- Single-sided clamp feature allows belt to fall free from cutting edge for reduced operator effort
- Integrated belt grip surface with gentle serrations for added clamping strength
- Cambered bottom beam provides uniform clamping force across the entire belt width
840 Series Belt Cutter
Make straighter cuts with the lightweight, easy-to-use 840 Series aluminum belt cutter.
Designed to enhance operator safety on belts up to 84" (2.1m) wide, the 840 Cutter grips belts securely. The chain-driven, double-edged safety blade is shielded from operator contact, and cuts rubber or PVC belts up to 1" (25mm) thick. The blade can be driven from either end of the cutter and cuts in both directions.
Sturdy aluminum construction means lighter weight for easy maneuverability and corrosion resistance in wet underground mining environments.
Clipper® 845LD Belt Cutter
A sturdy, safe, simple and portable tool specially designed for cutting wide belts. The enclosed blade is handle-driven from either end, cutting belts up to 1/2" (12mm) thick. Available in widths of 36", 48", 60", and 72" (900, 1200, 1500, and 1800mm).
