DESCRIPTION - KR1000:
Stand alone analogue output force sensor. Supplied for direct plug and play replacement to commonly existing units.
The target pads remain spatially the same. Robot reprogramming for test position is not required.
The monitor is preset to Zero on no load but can be simply adjusted by the user if required.
The innovative design of the KR1000 force head makes it far less susceptible to errors induced by electrodes not being perpendicular to the target pads.
Exacting construction standards guarantee this instrument is of greater accuracy than other monitors of this kind.
Multiple testing during construction further assist in achieving the superiority that we have set out to achieve.
When coupled to its onboard electronics package the sensor is preset for zero load & calibrated
to a known (NPL) standard.

As with all welding procedures, it is important to eliminate as many variables as possible in order to achieve optimum welding consistently over long periods.
Electrode force is one of the critical parameters in obtaining repeatable, reliable resistance spot welds.
Force can vary because of variable factory air pressure, water in the air lines causing air cylinders to deteriorate and loss of air pressure due to worn seals.
This self contained instrument uses a cell with a force sensor to provide accurate digital read out for auditing weld electrode forces.
Accuracy of this instrument is better than 0.2% and can be switched to read 0-2000 kg, 0-20.00 kN or 0-4400lbs.
In cases of difficult access the head of the swivel head gauge can be swiveled at least ±72º up or down and rotates at least ±90º. Once the desired position is reached it can be fixed by a simple hand tightened knob. A 90 mm long handle is provided for optional use with 2 mountain positions either in-line or at 90º.
A support wrist strap is attached to the gauge so that in the event that it is forced out of the operators hand by misaligned electrodes, it need not fall to the floor and be damaged.

Faults in welding tongs or incorrect process parameters in welding can result in production line waste or defective parts. Checking the electrode force periodically permits spark malfunctions to be detected at an early stage so that repairs can be carried out in good time.
The new Type 9833A test sensor allows precise and reliable measurements to be carried out with minimal electrode gaps. The built-in charge amplifier simplifies the task of mounting and helps to ensure the reliability required by the automobile industry.

The quality of a spot weld depends on the force applied by the electrodes together with the value of the welding current. For control programs, measuring the force applied by the electrodes is extremely important for maintaining constant production conditions. The Welding Tester instrument is designed for measuring the closing force on welding heads, which can be used either for setting up or for periodical maintenance. The tips are exchangeable for measuring the force applied by different forms of electrodes; the lowest closing dimension is 3 mm.
Different models are available for measuring 0–5000N up to 0-20000N. The new tool has all the ruggedness, quality and accuracy of the other tools in the CENTOR family, specially designed for taking “nomad” measurements in production shops.

Chatillon® DFE Series
The Chatillon® DFE Series is a compact, easy-to-use force gauge designed for economy applications without compromising functionality. Ideal for handheld or test stand applications, the DFE is available with capacities from 2 lbf (1 kgf, 10 N) to 500 lbf (250 kgf, 2500 N). The DFE features an integral loadcell with a measurement accuracy of better than 0.25% full scale. A large, easy-to-read, high resolution dot matrix LCD display supports a variety of standard gauge functions including normal and peak readings, high/low limits, setpoints, pass/fail results, statistical results, loadcell actuation and direction. Loads are displayed in ozf, gf, lbf, kgf and N units. The display can be inverted and displayed results may be "hidden" from the operator. The DFE gauge may be specified with or without RS232 serial communication. All DFE Series force gauges come with a carrying case, battery adapter/charger, testing accessories and NIST Certificate of Calibration with data. Measuring System PHYSIMETER® 906 MC-B
The measuring system PHYSIMETER® 906 MC-B has been designed for the determination of the mechanical parameters force or torque on the basis of wire strain gauges. The instrument can be supplied with an integrated or an external sensor. For the power supply a block battery of 9 V is required (standard article) or alternatively a plug-in power pack (option). For easy handling the instrument is provided with the functions On/Off, reset and indication of peak value (upper and lower measuring value). In the standard version of the instrument the load introduction takes place at the bottom. Upon request, the load introduction can also be effected on the top of the instrument. The ergonomically designed housing, made of anodised, high-strength aluminium, is provided with threaded bores at the front side so that an unproblematic connection to the ERICHSEN testing machines is guaranteed - as it was also ensured when using the preceding models of the tensile and pressure testing instruments. The instrument is perfectly suitable for mobile as well as for stationary applications.

The new force sensor converts pressure, weight and forces towards a measurable electrical quantity: resistance. As to construction, Force Sensors are comparable with the Clicktouch membrane switches. While combining this top technology with well-controlled production processes, sensors are made that are also thin, light and flexible.
