Innovative DINSE LASER welding / brazing system
Developed for vehicle and aircraft construction
Hamburg - LASER welding and brazing is certainly nothing new to a technology leader like DINSE, but a sector of industrial joining which has been continuously updated over the years. It's not just leading automotive and vehicle manufacturers who now use DINSE LASER welding technology.
Even the aircraft industry, including Airbus Industries and their new flagship, the 380 Airbus, weld together fuselage skin panels, a challenging skin/stringer combination, with the DINSE LASER system.
The key lies in the compactness of the system. Filler wire, water coolant and shielding gas are provided in an ultra-compact configuration. This even offers guaranteed production in difficult to access places. All DINSE LASER processing heads are easy to adapt and align in the direction of radiation. Different focal lengths are available.
Users often question why a filler wire is even used at all. This is answered by pointing out the crucial technological advantages. The filler wire optimizes material alloying even when working with mixed connections featuring different materials. Hot cracks are not formed in the cooling phase during aluminum welding. Lower levels of material distortion resulting from the reduced levels of heat input have a positive impact on the finished product. Process temperatures are reduced, which is especially important when brazing coated materials. The filler material also
ensures high levels of production safety thanks to its very good tolerance compatibility.

The MIG/MAG handheld welding fittings, each available with MS or MG handles, can either be supplied as gas or water cooled version. Performance data for gas cooled torches range from loading with mixed gas up to 270A/40% ED, wire diameters of between 0.8 and 1.2 mm.
Performance data for water cooled or twin-circuit water cooled torches range from loading with mixed gas up to 500A/60% ED, wire diameters of between 0.8 and 2.0 mm.
The torches with integrated PUSH-PULL wire feeder for the supply of soft and kink sensitive wires over long distance are also interesting. Water or gas cooled - the DINSE system remove large volumes of heat from the welding torches and this is the key to their significantly longer service
lives. In DINSE welding torches, the shielding gas is always supplied separately which therefore rules out the possibility of gas losses. The adapted wearing parts is another intelligent system.
The various torch variants comprise just a few basic components. This reduces the number of wearing parts that the user needs to hold in stock. Depending on use, different lengths of gas nozzle, cooling jacket, tip adapter as well as contact tips can be replaced quickly and flexibly.
Staff safety and environment concern are continually gaining in importance. Fumes are extracted directly from their point of creation thanks to fumes extraction. This is achieved by integrated complete systems or systems which can be retrofitted. The systems are light and mobile.

DINSE PLASMA welding/brazing system
The suitable alternative for galvanized plates
PLASMA arc welding has developed from the TIG procedure. Whereas during TIG welding, the arc burns freely between a non-melting tungsten electrode and the workpiece, during PLASMA welding and brazing it is additional constricted or bundled by a nozzle and gas flow. This ensures
less divergence and high speed upon exit from the Plasma nozzle. An energy-rich arc column is produced. The constricted beam of Plasma transfers the energy directly into the workpiece, the weld pool remains small, the zones of thermal influence are narrow and distortion slight. At the same time, the PLASMA arc tolerates larger changes in distance between the torch and workpiece.
The torch design protects the tungsten electrode against contamination whilst brazing of galvanized plates. A copper-based filler wire with a low melting point (compared to steel) can be used.
The galvanized surface is not therefore burnt and does not have to be re-galvanized afterwards.
The complete PLASMA equipment consists of processing head, wire feeder and the system components. The very compact Plasma head sits on the tried and tested sensor-controlled DINSE PUSH-PUSH wire drive. DINSE's compact GREENline wire-feed system conveys the wire powerfully and stably out of the spool holder and into the welding fitting. System components include the PLASMA power source, shock sensor and tool changing station.

The unrestricted rotating movement provided by the DINSE principle, which conducts the welding current, the shield gas and the compressed air from the torch set to the torch head, is backed by further product advantages, above all the torch set, which can be separated on wire feeder and
rotating interface and which operates entirely without imposing torsional loads. The company's specialist engineers have gone to great lengths to retain the well-established quality features of DINSE systems, such as the high-powered wire feeder, which operates at a uniform torque level
to ensure consistent wire feed over the entire speed range, or the separate shield gas supply which avoids gas losses.
The integral air blast technique, which counteracts premature system contamination and helps to maintain its full availability, and the reliable reproducibility of the TCP are also features that confirm the systematic development approach that has resulted in the DINSE REVO.torch. This includes the standardised DINSE torch head interface at the rotating interface, which simplifies attachment of the new swan-neck pattern gas-cooled torch head and also permits changeover to existing DINSE heads. Further evidence of this systematic approach is the policy regarding parts subject to wear: DINSE stocks identical components for various torch heads. And since REVO.torch turns willingly but is most reluctant to bend, integral crash protection with a deflection range of up to 15 degrees protects both the tool and the robot reliably.

|
People at DINSE are not surprised by this success. The system is considered an excellent application solution on the market. This is all down to the newly developed TIG torch head which offers a winning combination of high welding performance and small, compact design. This permits very good accessibility to the component, especially when working with difficult geometries.
Added to this is the fact that DINSE also makes full use of the strengths of its overall systems in the TIG system. Through the modular system of welding fittings, all finely turned to one another, shock sensor, wire feeders and the spool holder, DINSE supplies equipment, the detail of which is intelligent while at the same time long-lasting and robust.
As with all the welding technologies produced by DINSE, the wire feeder is integrated into the welding fittings using tried and tested PUSH-PUSH technology. The maximum torque of the first motor can be adjusted so that the filler wire cannot buckle out. The second wire feeder is speedcontrolled
and provides just the volume of filler wire required. Safe, constant wire feed is therefore ensured regardless of torsion, inflexion and length of fitting, especially when working with thin and soft wires over long distances.

Active welding filters provide continuous protection against UV/IR emissions, heat, sparks and projectiles. The degree of protection provided by the filter is designed to avoid blinding by the electric arc.
When an electric arc is activated, active welding filters darken automatically. When the arc is extinguished, they go back to their initial transparent state. Thus, active welding filters free up both of the welder’s hands, which saves time, helps avoid fatigue and ensures much better quality, because the arc can be positioned more accurately.
