In a HF product, the antenna plays an essential role: it's the most important link of the chain.
A quarter wave antenna, without its ground plan, will behave practically as a wire, but when its ground plan is sufficient, its efficiency will be maximal.
The antenna must be placed always in high position and clear from all metallic obstacles.
The antenna cable is another important element not to be neglected. Depending on the type of cable used, the loss in dB will be more or less high.
We bring you our advises for all your needs in wireless transmission and radio systems, with our product range for a variety of applications. We can also design radio systems according to your specifications.

Antenna Products - In-Building Overview
The widespread use of cellular phones and wireless network applications inside buildings has increased the need for antenna systems that can provide considerable gain over traditional dipole antennas.
Laird Technologies in-building wireless antennas are particularly applicable in environments where aesthetics and wide angle coverage are necessary for successful wireless deployment. Their surprisingly small size allow the antennas to be hidden almost anywhere, providing an invisible solution for most applications. |
|
Internal Wireless Device Antennas
The evolution of technology has brought the need to communicate everywhere and at all times without being confined to one space.
Laird Technologies internal wireless device antennas feature wide bandwidth to enhance the performance and application of portable wireless devices based on standards such as 802.11 and Bluetooth. The antennas are specifically designed to be embedded inside devices for aesthetically pleasing integration with high durability.
External Wireless Device Antennas
Today’s work and lifestyles require us to communicate anytime, anywhere whether on the move or sitting still. Bluetooth and 802.11 standards make wireless connections to computer networks and other devices possible, while at the same time enabling freedom of movement. |

Remote antennas increase the reliability of radio connections by optimizing the transmitting and receiving conditions
Antenna diversity provides stable radio conditions
Suitable for use both in industrial Wireless LAN (iWLAN) radio networks as well as in standard Wireless LAN (IEEE 802.11) at 2.4GHz and 5 GHz with data transfer rates up to 54 Mbit/s |

The XI1510-IP Access Point is dedicated for applications requiring robustness and reliability in disturbed industrial environment. It is 802.11b standard complyance (Wi-Fi). Its RJ45 connector (10/100 Mbps)enables a wireless Ethernet connectivity between PCs and PLCs. It operates on the 2.4 GHz frequency band in DSSS.
Its power supply is done directly through the Ethernet cable in PoE (Power over Ethernet) technology avoiding thus extra cabling on the XI1510-IP. Its waterproof case allows to fix it in outdoor and the closiest as possible to the antenna for limiting cable attenuation loss.
The XI1510-IPD is equiped with 2 N-connectors for operating in diversity mode with 2 antennas (To suppress the reflection phenomenon). Its installation is very fast : configuration and management by Web navigator or a Windows based utility.
Regarding security, the WEP encryption can be selected as well as the MAC address filtering. It can operate under different modes : P2P bridge, multi-point, repeater, etc. Its 11 Mbps baudrate can be lowered to 5.5, 2 or 1 Mbps for increasing its sensibility.
A RSSI test function is available in standard for channel analysis. This product had been tested successfully with industrial Ethernet protocols (Schneider, Siemens, Allen Bradley, etc...). |
