Functional principle
The PLICSRADIO series is used for easy wireless transmission of 4 … 20 mA/HART signals and switching conditions. An emitting unit receives the measured values and can also serve as (Ex) power supply for sensors connected via cable. Individual 4 … 20 mA/HART sensors of all manufacturers can be integrated. A receiving unit receives the measured values via the radio distance and dependent on the version transmits them to a 4 … 20 mA output or a processing unit. An indicating unit in radio range can also show the requested measured values.
Applications
By using a license and registration free transmission range, a simple and reliable radio connection is available for industrial application areas. The instruments are used when wiring of a signal cable from the sensors to the processing is not possible or too complex. Obstacles such as streets, railways, rivers and buildings can be overcome without problems and in a price-favourable way. The use in mobile system parts such as conveyor belts, rotating vessels or in tankers are further application areas. PLICSRADIO series is best suited for quick and interference-free extension of existing plants or permanently changing plant constellations.

Measurement Specialties has done pioneering work in the development of ultrasound sensing using Piezo film. Piezoelectric film ultrasound transmitters and receivers offer unique advantages for two-dimensional positioning applications such as:
- Digitizers
- Object detection
- Distance measurement
Piezo Sensor - 40kHz Digitizer Transmitter_Receiver
Description: Piezoelectric film (PVDF) ultrasound transmitter and receivers offer unique advantages for air ranging applications. Depending on the application, resonance frequency and vertical beam directivity of the transmitter and receiver can easily be customized by changing the diameter and length of the PVDF cylinder. The receiver has a very wide horizontal beam angle and it can be reduced by changing the housing design if necessary. PVDF transmitters and receivers also have very low resonance Q value of 5 and PVDF receivers have Q value of 4. This means that the rising time and the signal decay time are much faster than the conventional ceramic transmitters. This characteristic is suitable for high speed data acquisition or high speed digitizer applications. Cylindrical 40kHz PVDF transmitters exhibit omni-directional horizontal beam directivity and broad band characteristics. Cylindrical 40kHz PVDF receivers exhibit very wide horizontal beam directivity and broad band characteristics. These characteristics lend unique solutions in many applications such as two-dimensional positioning, digitizer, object detection, and distance measurement.

EASYROLL transmitters are equipped with the E.R.P.A. function (which allows a valid copy remote to be inserted in place of a lost or stolen unit).
E.R.P.A. is the third evolution of PRASTEL’s Rolling code technology, allowing the insertion and simultaneous cancellation of a lost transmitter. In existing installations this easy to function to perform, simply pressing the transmit button on the copy remote (within 4-5 m of the receiver) enters the new remote into the system memory and removes the old transmitter. Once this simple operation has been performed, the new transmitter will be ready for use.

The Wi.M868T-R™ 868-870MHz transmitter module is a microcontroller-less version of our popular Wi.232DTS-R™ and Wi.232FHSS-25-R™ modules. It offers the same excellent RF performance, yet allows the design engineer to control the radio at the physical level using any microcontroller.
The module is footprint compatible with the many of the Wi.232 family of radios, including the 900MHz Wi.232DTS-R, Wi.232FHSS-25-R, Wi.M900X-R, and the European 868MHz Wi.232EUR-R, and Wi.M868X-R. The Wi.M868T-R supports wide-band mode, where the channel width is 600kHz and also a narrow-band mode where the channel width is 200kHz.The module is configured via a simple SPI style serial interface. Data is transmitted and received using a separate digital serial interface that includes pre-amble and start-of-packet detection.
Maximum transmit power is +15dBm. Maximum receive sensitivity is -112dBm. The transmitter draws 62mA typical at +15dBm. The module has 32 wideband and 84 narrowband channels available.
A footprint compatible module companion version is available in 902-928 MHz for the North American market Wi.M900T-R.
A typical circuit consists of a low-cost microcontroller, a power source, a Wi.M868T-R module, and an antenna. The RK-Wi.M868X development kit is available to support evaluation of this product with separate Wi.M868X-EVM-R evaluation modules for additional wireless node development. The Wi.M868X-R is very similar to the Wi.M868T-R except the Wi.M868T-R is configured as a uni-directional transmitter only device where the Wi.M868X-R is a bi-directional transceiver module. For production, order the Wi.M868T-R.
