The ME 15 and ME 20 automatic edge banders are entirely designed and built by MiniMax backed by the experience and expertise of the SCM Group.
Compact, precise and versatile. Rapid retooling when changing over from one edge band thickness to another. These were the main design specifications around which the machine was developed.
The ME15 and ME20 will apply a variety of edge bands ranging in thickness from 0.4 mm to 2.0 mm. The machine has an automatic loader for edge rolls and a pneumatic end cutter unit which guarantees a clean, precision cut on the leading and trailing edges of the panel.

The trimming unit has its own 0.37 kW motor and trims the surplus edge banding using two, widia-tipped cutters with a 75 mm diameter. Trimming precision is guaranteed by two, chromed copiers which are bearing mounted to ensure smooth panel feed.
A top-mounted 0.18 kW feeder ensures uniform, powerful panel feed through the machine.
The machine is reasonably priced and therefore well within the reach of woodworking workshops and small carpentry businesses and what is, potentially, a wide market.

ALA 23, AUTOMATIC EDGEBANDING MACHINE FOR SMALL TO MEDIUM INDUSTRIES
ALA 23 is the new edge banding machine offered by CASADEI, simple, flexible and reliable, available in different compositions, suitable for small to medium industries searching for high quality finishing and good production output.
ALA 23 can process edges within a thickness range from 0,4 to 8 mm and a working height from 8 to 55 mm. Furthermore it is provided with: a glue pot unit with a capacity of 1,5 kg, a quick heating system and an automatic internal device which reduces the glue temperature in case the machine is not used for a certain period of time; a cutter with an efficient edge saving device, which allows for the optimisation of the waste; and a pressing unit with pneumatic pressure regulation and with 3 rollers, the first one of which is powered with a clutch system, meanwhile the second and the third have opposed tapering for a perfect adhesion of the edge.
ALA 23 also has an end cutting unit, tilting up to 15°, which can take up two positions (one for straight cuts at 90° and one for chamfered cuts of the excess edge at the front and back of the panel) and a trimming unit, tilting from 0 to 10°, which removes the excess edge at the top and bottom end of the panel.
Some versions are equipped with an infeed pre-milling unit, with an automatic timing intervention device to avoid panel chipping, and with a rounding unit which allows the machining of the corners even of soft/post-formed panels with its agile and precise movements and in one pass.

Lid packaging is composed by three different areas:
- Tray loading and centering
- Lid denester
- Lid placing
Tray feeding is made by a belt composed by rollers which work in different speeds. Vertical and horizontal cylinders help centering trays in order to place the lid automatically.
Lid denester has an ergonomic design, allowing tray pile loading in an approximately 1.500 mm height. Lid format changing is made quick and in an easy way obtaining a format change approximately in 2 minutes.
Lid placing is made by a spinning mechanism composed by two arms which unstack and place lids at the same time, allowing to obtain 100 tray/min. production speed.

The TSC-090 seals and closes top-loaded tri-seal paperboard cartons and is ideally suited for applications in the food, bakery, pharmaceutical, and frozen item markets. It features an innovative in-line closing process that closes the top lid and major and minor flaps after gluing, while maintaining the carton in a single forward motion. Many conventional tri-seal carton closers mechanically turn the carton during the closing process, creating the potential for errors and misalignment. By eliminating the turning process, the TSC-090 reduces the threat of malfunction and associated downtime.
The TSC-090 closer is capable of speeds of up to 90 cartons per minute and handles a broad range of carton sizes. Continuous positive carton control throughout the closing process ensures accurate closing to minimize downtime. The machine features integrated feeding belts for smooth operation. Servo controlled machine adjustments guarantee repeatability and accuracy and an open frame construction assures easy cleaning and maintenance.
Changeover between size parts is achieved in 15 minutes and standard changes require no tools. The closer is typically integrated with top loading equipment, such as Delta robotics, and a carton forming system, also available from Bosch.
