The steel telescopic covers, made from high quality special sheet steel, can be produced in a wide variety of forms. Special sliding and guidance mechanisms as well as appropriate mechanical damping elements enable high process speeds. In addition to this, easy replaceable wiper lips minimize maintenance. Telescopic covers are generally produced from cold-rolled uncoated thin plates in thickness from 1 to 3 mm. In case of extremely aggressive environmental conditions (e.g. aggressive cooling lubricants), corrosion-resistant stainless steel plates may also be used.
