Electromagnetic interference (EMI) can be described as any type of electrical interference, signal or noise, which temporarily or permanently effects the ability of electrical or electronic equipment or systems to function correctly. This phenomenon is familiar to everyone, even if we do not have a fundamental understanding of (EMI) principles.
Most people have witnessed and experienced the effects of interference whilst watching television when someone nearby is operating an electrical device. An other well know president is the mobile phone which disturbs the electronic equipment on board of aircrafts.
This interference, which is also referred to as Radio Frequency Interference (RFI), is active throughout the environment. Its effects can vary from distorting
electrical measurements, activating equipment at random (Health & Safety Issue), creating severe disruption of testing, communications, data handling, medical and defence activities.
ELDON’s Approach to shielding Enclosures
Eldon wants to offer their customers an EMC enclosure, which is designed to provide the best possible screening effectiveness, with built-in, long-term reliability and at a cost effective price.

The growing electromagnetic pollution and the European and international standards require electromagnetic shielding.
The European EMC 89/336 directive affects electric and electronic equipment which can create or be subject to electromagnetic disturbances.
Cabinets and empty enclosures in general do not directly generate any disturbance and are not ruled by the EMC directive.
In order to meet the directive and offer an effective product, Eta has developed a specific Areta cabinet suitable for EMC applications.

The standard procedures of numerous automotive manufacturers for simulating their products' environmental conditions make high demands on the chamber technology. They require a high degree of flexibility especially of
Special advantages offers the SPS control system which assures that process parameters are reached exactly and rapidly and that they are strictly maintained. The touchpad's clearly structured menu navigation makes it easy and secure to handle the test chamber. Process data can be visualised, supervised and documented with our software called VisiCORR®. For this purpose, the standard chamber is equipped with a Modbus RTU and an Ethernet TDP/IP interface.

Corrosion Test Apparatus for Alternating Tests, Model 608
For testing with cycles of changing corrosive effects in accordance with VDA 621-415. Basic concept, design details and dimensions as for Model 606. Microcomputer to control test cycle (neutral salt spray DIN 50 021, alternating condensation water climate AHT DIN EN ISO 6270-2, ambient temperature DIN 50 014). |
|
VLM offers you a comprehensive product range of bench top cabinets or chest models which covers a wide application and service spectrum going from the classical VDA test (VDA 621-415) or VW PV 1210 with conditionened ambient air to very exigent test procudures according to the factory standards of other automotive manufacturers and suppliers (see "MF" multifunction series).
We are pleased to advise you in order to compile the chamber configuration which fits exactly to your needs. Due to their unique construction and material composition, VLM corrosion testing chambers provide the best conditions to realise a high reproducibility of fully automatic cyclic corrosion tests |

Humidity Cabinet HYGROTHERM 519 FA/SA
Fully automatic corrosion test apparatus for standardised tests in condensation water climate with and without SOc addition, using a programmable logic control (PLC) for the automatic sequence, i.e. control of heating, acid feeding and draining, filling and draining of the bottom trough water tank as well as evacuation and replacement of air (manual operation also possible). Test chamber volume 300 l. Model 519 SA equipped with a semi-automatic control system, i. e. acid draining, evacuation and replacement of air as well as the control of the heating system are executed automatically. |

VLM corrosion test cabinets provide best conditions for the conduction of high humidity tests due to its unique design. The bottom, rear wall and roof are made of stainless steel coated with Halar® (ECTFE), a fluorine polymer used in chemical apparatus engineering. Hence there is a quick transfer of the heat from the heaters below the bottom into the water bath. So the water evaporates and condensates very evenly. The best reproducibility of the climate is achieved by the patented CTD-System
VLM CON cabinets for alternating water condensation tests are equipped with the working system “AIR”. That means that ambient air is introduced into the chamber by a fan. The air is evenly distributed to the chamber by a perforated pipe in order to dry the specimen evenly.
We offer a variety of table top models with a chamber capacity of 300 L and 400 L as well as 1000 L cabinets for conducting of tests requiring:
Condensation atmosphere with constant humidity
persuant to ISO 6270-2 (CH)
Condensation climate with alternating humidity and air temperature persuant to ISO 6270-2 (AHT)
Condensation climate with alternating air temperature
persuant to ISO 6270-2 (AT)

400 L Cabinet CON 400-S A-KES to conduct fully automatic Kesternichtests persuant to ISO 6988
This cabinet is equipped with the working system water condensation „CON“ with CTD System and the working system „AIR“ and provides best climate conditions for conducting water condensation and Kesternichtests. Please note that the water is only heated up by the heaters below the water bath. As we do not apply any circulating pump the surface of the water remains quiet. This is essential concerning the absorption of the SO2 comparable to the climate in manually operated Kesternich chambers.
The SO2 is measured by an advanced massflowmeter and monitored by the PLC which controls the complete test procedure.
The CON 400-S AKES cabinet meets high requirements of safety and convenience. If necessary an extension by installing the working system “SAL” salt spray is possible, thus fully automatic cycling corrosion tests can be carried out.
