ROLYN Optical Flats are now available with certifications of 1/10 wave length accuracies (.000002"). These are made of special fused silica with ground edges with slight safety chamfer and with the second surfaces pitch polished for better visual inspection of the patterns created when in contact with other surfaces. These flats are used in determining surface qualities in optical shops, instrument fabrication, machine and experimental shops, for laser usage and a multitude of other applications. A must for inspecting and checking your "Jo" blocks.
|
|
Optical flats are used for testing and evaluating other optical elements. An interference pattern is formed in the air between the flat and the object being evaluated. The pattern consists of alternating bright and dark bands or fringes which are contour maps of the air space.

Data and energy
Unrivalled worldwide, eks Engel presents a new Hybrid Splice Box inside the FIMP product line that makes it possible to combine data and energy.
Furthermore, a new version with a SC-RJ coupling which allows combining multimode, singlemode and POF in one plug will be presented. The front panel of the Hybrid Splice Box can be outfitted with up to four RJ45 Click&Snap-, or alternatively with two Smart Hole-Modules.
|
|
The inner values of the FIMPXL are really convincing and the installation is quite simple and done very fast.
FIMPXL is ready for splicing and it already contains splice tray, couplings, pigtails and cable gland. Regarding different couplings, you can choose from SMA, ST, SC, LC, FC-PC and E-2000. The front panel and the splice cassette can be removed for splicing and since the cassette is magnetic, it can easily be fixed onto a splice unit. The cassette has got a hole for splice units with a bolt.
The powder coated stainless steel housing is also magnetic so that the splice box can easily be affixed to another housing or to a switch cabinet in case of no different tray. Furthermore, FIMPXL has got a clip for DIN rail mounting (35mm) and a kit for wall fastening. Thus, there are space-saving and flexible solutions for mounting our FIMP.
|
|

System installation kits allow the experimenter to provide experimental setups within shortest time. Furthermore, it is guaranteed that, when using the existing system components with a future series production, the same kits can be employed. This is particularly important for the industrial research. With the available profile rails, the four different side profiles and the corresponding riders, beam handling heights of 40 mm (SYS 40), 65 mm (SYS 65) and 105 mm (SYS 90) can be reached.
- rail/slide system allows rapid changing of components
- for linear, 2- and 3-dimensional setups
- universal - for laser and fibre-optic technology and classical optics
- for laboratory experiments and series production
- components of the SYS 40 can be combined with System SYS 65 and micro-systems from other suppliers
A wide range range of mounts and adapters make sure that practically all optical components can be properly mounted. The compatibility of these systems to systems from other manufacturers, who followed the OWIS standard, is not less important.
Mechanical and optical starter sets are composed to meet initial requirements. These contain the most frequently needed mechanical or optical components in a rugged convenient case for transport and storage.

Optical micrometers.
RF65X Series
Application domain
Laser micrometers are designed for non-contact measurement and control of position and dimensoins (diameter, thickness, gaps) of technological objects as well as for measuring levels of liquid and bulk materials .
RF651 model. Operating principle
The micrometer operation is based on the so-called shadow principle. The micrometer consists of two blocks transmitter, 1 and receiver, 2. Radiation of a semiconductor laser 3 is collimated by a lens 4. With an object, 5 placed in the collimated beam region, shadow image formed is scanned with a CCD photo-detector array 6. A processor 7 calculates the position (size) of the object from the position of shadow border (borders)

Corning Tropel Corporation designed the UltraFlat 200 Mask System specifically for the photomask industry. It delivers the lowest measurement uncertainty for ever-tightening mask flatness specifications. Shrinking device features require not only flatter wafers, but flatter masks.
The UltraFlat system is used to measure flatness of photoblanks and photomasks throughout every stage of manufacturing and use, including, substrate polishing, coating and patterning to analyze film stress, and verification.
UltraFlat system utilizes near-normal incidence interferometry, rock solid structural design, state-of-the-art optical fabrication techniques and Tropel's renowned phase shifting analysis software to deliver 20 nanometer measurement uncertainty.
The system is NIST traceable and provides measurements that conform to SEMI standards. An automated photomask handling and measurement configuration is also available.

The Optical Micrometer is a portable instrument capable of making non-contact depth measurements on virtually any surface, curved or flat. Available with either 100x or 200x magnification, an easy to read venier scale enables the operator to optically measure the difference in height of one surface to another; an optional reticle eyepiece allows width measurements. This instrument is useful for measuring depth of scratches, cracks, blind holes, dents, pits and other surface blemishes in all types of materials. For transparent materials (i.e. glass, acrylic), the optical micrometer can measure crazing, fractures, embedded voids and material thickness. Popular in the aircraft industry, the optical micrometer may be used in the field to measure surface features on windshields, leading edges, airframes, fuselage skin, propeller blades, rotor blades, coated surfaces, plus many more.
