FLAME RETARDANT GARMENTS PART OF THE 3-LAYER SYSTEM! Contact with open fire, hot surfaces or radiant heat is a reality in many workplaces. In industry, on construction sites and in many other trades it is important to protect yourself and your employees against these threats. HH Industrial workwear includes an extensive collection of flame retardant garments.
>> Helly Hansen Workwear’s flame retardant industrial clothing is approved for use in environments where there is a risk of incidental contact with open flames or when there is a danger of short term exposure to strong radiant heat. The products should be used with other flame retardant clothing. Please contact us for guidance, to ensure you choose the right flame retardant clothes for your needs.
Base and Thermal Layers
The professional fabric in the flame retardant base layer is 50% flame resistant Lenzing® viscose and 50% wool, which provides insulation as well as flame resistance. The flame retardant viscose fibres have been treated with a mixture of phosphorus and sulphate. The flame retarding treatment is permanent and effective, even after the garments have been repeatedly washed. The combination of wool and viscose provides good insulation properties and a high level of comfort. Flame retardant fibre pile is made of 80% Zirpro®-processed flame retardant wool and 20% flame retardant Trevira SEC®. This process ensures permanent and effective protection. All zips, cuffs, etc, are also made in flame retardant materials. Helly Hansen flame retardant fibre pile has been approved and listed by NATO |

Many accidents are a result of poor visibility, both by day and at night. The question of working clothes providing greater visibility is becoming an increasingly important topic among workers, companies and authorities. Helly Hansen Professional workwear has a stand-alone visibility collection and offers visibility professional clothing within most product categories.
Poor visibility poses a threat to many workers, including construction workers, airport personnel, watchmen and emergency units. Increased visibility at work can be achieved by using the appropriate visibility clothing. Workwear that has fluorescent professional fabric and reflective materials helps you move safely at work.
Helly Hansen Workwear has developed visibility garments in all appropriate product categories. You will find jackets, pants, vests and overalls that increase visibility in all ranges.
Each year thousands of people suffer from traffic injuries. 40% of these accidents occur in the dark and many could have been avoided if visibility clothing had been worn. Surveys show that the use of reflective materials reduces the risk of pedestrians being hit by a car by 85 per cent*. There is also a high risk of accidents in daytime at a variety of sites, including construction sites, along roads and at airports. |
