The collection consists of garments like jackets, trousers, vests, shorts and shirts based on different combinations of polyester and cotton. Polyester provides superior durability, while cotton ensures a high level of comfort. We combine the two materials so that our customers can benefit from both advantages.
Traditional working clothes are made of a twill fabric which far exceeds industrial standards of durability and wear resistance. This has prompted our designers to develop a broad range of functional and comfortable twill garments that also allow optimal freedom of movement. The garments are designed to make the working day as simple and practical as possible. They incorporate the Helly Hansen Workwear Tradesman Pocket System™, with solid, moveable pockets with loops – a feature unique to Helly Hansen.
Innovative IMS™/Click.on™
Besides the traditional polyester/cotton garments, we have a separate range with an interactive module system. IMS™/Click.on™ is based on the growing need to use technological equipment such as mobile phones and handheld PCs at work. Different types of pockets and fasteners can easily be clicked on to the most appropriate places on the workwear. This system provides increased flexibility and access to important electronic tools such as instruments and communication devices, as well as traditional tools.

There is a growing need for waterproof working clothes that also transport perspiration. The reason is obvious: they are ideal for working outdoors. They keep you dry and comfortable all day – in the sun, the snow and the rain. At Helly Hansen Workwear, we have been making clothing like this for years, using our unique Helly Tech® fabric system.
>> Everybody who works outdoors knows the challenge. You want to keep dry in rain, snow and sleet, yet avoid perspiration and condensation. That is why Helly Hansen Workwear developed Helly Tech®, the unique fabric system used in our collection of waterproof, breathable garments. Today Helly Tech® garments are worn by workers in large and small companies all over the world. They include the Italian Railways, the Danish Postal Service and the Norwegian Police force.
Keeps you Dry
The garments in the Helly Tech® collection release condensation and perspiration, while keeping rain and snow out. More than 20 years of experience with waterproof clothes that transport moisture, in addition to a thorough knowledge of materials and design, have ensured the production of first-class garments.
Helly Tech®-fabrics are constructed either with a thin film that transports moisture or by applying several thin layers of polymers to the reverse side of the fabric. For all practical purposes both systems work well. They are equally efficient at releasing body moisture. At the same time the micro pores in the fabric are too small for water molecules to penetrate from outside. All seams are sealed to ensure that the whole garment is waterproof.

>> It is more than 125 years since Captain Helly Juell Hansen first started producing waterproof clothing for seamen. As early as in 1878 the company won its first award for waterproof garments at the Paris Expo. Nothing like it had ever been seen before. The award was the first of many. Since then Helly Hansen has been a pioneer in the development of waterproof clothes for work and leisure activities.
Our experience and competence allow us to produce waterproof clothes with high functionality and quality in every detail. This is important as these clothes are often worn in extreme work situations, on oil rigs or fishing boats, where quality directly affects the wearer’s well-being, health and safety.
100% Waterproof
The collection consists of 100% waterproof PVC and PU coated clothes, providing superior protection and durability. PVC-coated garments have an extremely hard-wearing coating and are resistant to water as well as most chemicals, acids and oils. PU-coated clothes are lighter, softer and more resistant to the cold.
Our comprehensive collection includes waterproof garments made from different base textiles, designed for different needs.Woven cotton is more comfortable against the skin and reduces condensation. Knitted synthetic textiles offer lower weight and superior tear strength.
