Large oval washers locate over 4 lugs on the elevator bolt head, increasing effective bolt head size and bolt holding. The elevator belt must be thick enough to absorb the washer and / or the b ucket belt holes should recessed. Large oval washers are not recommended on pulley diameters of less than 20mm.
