B-POP: mono-optical probe dedicated to bubbly flow analysis

L-shaped probe for a lateral insertion into the flow.

Simultaneous measurements of:
* Local concentration (void fraction)
* Velocity and size of each bubble
* Flux and local flow rates
* Chord-velocity correlation
* Diameters (D10, D32, ...)

Technical specifications:
* Concentration range: 0 < α < 100%
* Velocity range: 0.1 ≤ U ≤ 25 m/s (can be increased on demand)

Maximum operating conditions:
* 30 bar / 250°C (can be increased on demand)
* Flow viscosity: up to 30x water viscosity
* Minimum detectable bubble size: 500 µm
* Works on any shape of bubble
* Laser source: 830 nm, 3 mW, class 3R

The operation of the B-POP probe relies on measuring the reflection of a laser beam at the probe tip.

B-POP works by contact and does not require any light propagation outside the probe, making it the ideal instrument for dense environments.

B-POP can be used in conjunction with existing tools for bubbly flow analysis.
