PML630 IEC ABB Oy Distribution Automation

PML630 is a power management IED providing load shedding solution for the power networks in industrial plants, protecting against blackouts and power outages in system disturbances. PML630 is member of ABB's Relion® product family and a part of 630 product series characterized by functional scalability and flexible configurability. The system offering, which can include RET630, REF630, REM630, RET615, REF615, REM615, REG670 and COM600 devices, is referred as cPMS (compact Power Management System). cPMS is based on IEC 61850 standard.
The various load shedding modes supported by PML630 include fast, slow and manual load shedding. The PML630 is designed for small to medium scale industrial power networks with critical loads. It supports networks up to 6 generators, 2 grid transformers and 60 sheddable loads or groups, connected to a maximum of 6 busbars.

The easy configurability of the PML630 will ensure adaptation of the load shedding functionality to industrial power network. Efficient and easy engineering ensures that network data entered by user is used automatically to generate functionality, interconnection, single line diagram, IEC 61850 mapping and load shedding displays.
