PCx is a technically very advanced and powerful control system.
The system build up is scalable, flexible and modular. The combination of software and modular build up makes this unit suitable for application such as small and medium size sewage treatment plants, water treatment plants, booster pressure stations, sewage pumping stations etc.

The main difference between PCx and conventional PLC-systems is the simplicity of installation and configuration.

To obtain the required control functions for the application just use the predefined functions in PCx.

Besides extensive control functions the unit is fitted with communication (RS232/485), alarm handling, log capability (digital and analogue), stand alone control and decision making system consisting of up to 8 units via fixed or dial-up communication etc.

The system can both control the application and be configured on-line simultaneously. ABS C&M can also offer the PC-based configuration software AquaProg.
PCx can be configured using the AquaProg software either via fixed line or dial-up communication. Other functions available
using this software are: read signal status, read alarm list, reset alarms, up/down load configuration etc.

Handling different types of communication is another of PCx strength. The unit handles communication via fixed line, dial-up, radio, Lan etc. It can also handle for instance dial-up communication via one com port to the scada system and using com port 2 with multi drop communication to other units.
