Brewster angle microscope
658 nm, 52 – 57° | nanofilm_ultrabam Accurion GmbH

Convince yourself just by watching demo videos taken with the new nanofilm_ultrabam:
Monolayer of DMPE during first-order phase transition, contrast in domains caused by long range orientation order
The new nanofilm_ultrabam provides overall-focused images in real-time! Brewster-Angle-Microscopes observe the sample under an angle and thus only one focused line is displayed. Until now, a so-called focus scanner has to be used to receive an overall focused image. The new generation of Brewster-Angle-Microscopes overcomes this problem. Due to an advanced optical setup the image displayed by the nanofilm_ultrabam is in focus through the entire field of view without use of a focus scanner. This is extremely advantageous for all floating monolayers and enables a researcher to observe his samples even in real-time! The lateral resolution of the instrument is 2µm with a field of view of approx. 720 x 400µm. It is designed for the air/water interface but will also work on popular glass substrates due to a variable angle-of-incidence ranging from 52° to 57°.
