For these dampers the name describes them perfectly: They ensure the safety in emergency stop applications. They are an inexpensive alternative for example on rack operation devices, conveying and crane systems.
Safety shock absorbers are maintenance free, self-contained and the majority equipped with an integrated mechanical stop. They have either an integrated membrane accumulator for volume compensation when the piston is in its compressed position or to reset the piston rod. Or you can select to use a compressed gas chamber on some models.
ACE offers safety shock absorbers with stroke lengths from 23 up to 1200 mm. We calculate and produce the layout of the metering orifices specifically to match your application.
