Any vibrating surface that is correctly covered or lined with LA or DAMP sheets is capable of transforming all the mechanical energy of the vibration into heat energy, thus reducing the level of emitted noise. To obtain a high level of absorption it is not necessary to cover the whole surface; 2/3 coverage can give a reduction of 80%.
