Bar and tube bundle strapping machine
max. 3000 mm | De-Bundler AddisonMckee

AddisonMckee's innovative Tube De-Bundler is a fully adjustable, stand-alone, tube de-bundling system, capable of being interfaced with a robotic bender cell.

It comprises of a frame that, via a series of straps, supports a tube bundle. A tube bundle is centrally positioned within the frame, spanning the lifting straps.

Once loaded, the bundle of tubes is lifted allowing tubes to roll down onto an inclined rack, from where each tube is individually selected and positioned into a seam detection station prior to robot loading.

As an available option, an "ER" style segmented tool, mounted on a slide, is used to de-dimple the collet end of the tube prior to seam detection.

If a tube fails the seam detection process, a tube eject mechanism is activated, and the tube ejected into a reject holding area. The tube or tubes in question can then be removed for inspection, or reloaded.

The AddisonMckee De-Bundler system is designed to enable tube bundles to be safely changed, without interfering with the production process. To accommodate this feature, a guarding system must be properly installed. The guarding system is available as an optional extra.
