Description

The forming process is done by a head with rotating rollers that apply a symmetrical force on the component. The movement of the rotating rollers and the downward force of the roll forming head are combined to create a closing or fastening on a cylindrical component. This head is driven by the machine with a controlled linear advance rate as well as at an optimal rotational speed. The roll forming machines perform a soft forming process since the downward force is minimal. This makes it possible to form thin components as well as delicate and easily damaged parts. An individual roll forming head (with double, triple, multi rollers) will be designed and manufactured for each specific application. The components to process and their dimensions define the design and working mode of the roller head: the number of rollers, rotation speed and the form roller geometry. In addition, if required, a hold-down device can be incorporated to the roll forming head. AGME roller forming machines are commonly used for the assembly and forming of bushings, silent blocks, ball joints, valves, electric sensors and many other components.
