The 13.000 series, fittings base their operation by the means of a compression of one ring, which buckling itself at the ends, realize the clamping of the tube and the tightness between the tube and the body-fitting.
The particular shape of the ring permit to centre itself between the nut and the seat of the fitting on which it fits and allow to use these fittings with tubes made of different materials. For example it is possible to use tubes made in semirigid polyamide without using any support ferrule.
