Liquid receivers are generally used to absorb load variations in the system and to stock the full refrigerant charge during maintenance. Liquid receivers have their normal application in water chillers, air conditioning and refrigeration systems.
The Alfa Laval liquid receiver range includes models with vertical or horizontal design in two-piece (LRDV, LRDH) and three-piece (LRV, LRH) construction. The reserve capacities range from 5 to 1,000 litres.
Liquid receivers are available with CE, ASME, GOST, SQL and DNV pressure vessel approval.
SAD, SA liquid separators:
Liquid separators are normally installed in the suction line of the cooling system. They protect the compressor from liquid slugging, provide a constant backflow of the oil, and reduce vibrations by operating as mufflers.
