Circuit board fastening
Alliance Plastics
Alliance also saw great benefit in adding releasable supports to its standard product range. The spring end locks or releases in order to remove support and allow for repairs. This makes it more convenient for circuit boards that are handled frequently, and are often in need of repair. Again, there is no need for screws, nuts and lock washers in mounting.
The edge holding supports feature a locking arm attribute that securely clips to the printed circuit board while making it possible to easily and quickly remove or replace the printed circuit board. We also carry a line of blind hole locking supports whose flexible rib design allows the part to lock into a round, oval, threaded, non threaded, punched or drilled blind holes. Both the edge holding supports and the blind hole locking supports, along with adhesive base supports eliminate screws, nuts and lock washers in mounting. However, the adhesive base supports also eliminate the need for a mounting hole on the chassis due to the double-adhesive base. These securely lock the printed circuit board in place.
