Forover twenty years now the piston diaphragm metering pump FKM has been a synonym for safety and efficiency in chemical water treatment. The new overpressure sensor for the integrated pressure relief valve, certified by the Technical Control Board, further improve to this standard.
All dosing pumps of the FKM series are equipped with a certified pressure relief valve, that is integrated in the hydraulic system of the pump.
The opening pressure of the pressure relief valve is selected according to the nominal operation parameters and the maximum of the admitted working pressure. By this, not only the piston-diaphragm metering pump, but also the system and the environment obtains the optimum protection.
In order to monitor the suction as well as the pressure side of the pump, the overpressure sensor is mounted onto the pressure relief valve of the pump.
Should the pressure relief valve open because of a too high vacuum or because of overpressure, this will be signalled by the sensor. The signal is visible locally on the LED of the sensor and also available as a contact for remote indication.
