KAHL Straw Pelleting

Since the 1970s, KAHL have dealt with the compaction of crude fibres such as straw, rape straw, or by-products from cereals and pulses. The worldwide energy and resource consciousness has increasingly moved those materials into focus which have been unexploited so far. Pellets offer enormous advantages, e.g. for thermal utilisation:
- high bulk density
- practically dust-free
- easy to store
- easy to transport

KAHL offer complete straw pelleting plants. Straw in big bales is conveyed to the shredder. The chopped material then is fed to the straw mill via proportioning units. Stones and metal particles are separated before the straw enters the mill.
All main machines, such as hammer mills, belt driers, pelleting presses and coolers, are produced in our factory at Reinbek near Hamburg. Our pilot plant at Reinbek is at our customers' disposal for tests.

Construction of heavy machinery pays off. KAHL plants ensure high operational safety also for continuous operation.
