The vise modules are positioned precisely on a base rail by means of alignment pins. On the base rail, positioning holes are located on a 7.5 mm grid, while on the vise module there is one with a10 mm spacing. Following the vernier principle, the smallest possible positioning step is 2.5 mm, with a jaw movement of 4 mm, it is therefore possible to clamp the work piece in any desired position with a known distance to program zero (original datum face).
Special jaws or dedicated fixtures may easily be bolted onto the rails in place of standard vise modules if the need arises. They may be anchored in the T-slots and located by using alignment pins in the positioning holes. Standard vise modules are available in a variety of standard widths (19 mm - 80 mm).
Available in 40/50 mm spacing for m12 dowel screws, and 2" spacing with 1/2 or 5/8 precision bored holes for locating and mounting to our grids with our AMFLEX modular dowel screws.
