Laser speed sensor
A1S37P
American Hofmannoration
The laser speed sensor A1S37P is
used to detect the speed of rotating
shafts in connection with the portable
Hofmann instruments EB3100,
MI2100 and VL8000. The A1S37P is
especially used for scanning from
large distances, for example when
balancing large ventilators in situ.
To generate a measuring pulse a
mark (either coloured mark or piece
of reflective tape) is applied to the
rotor surface, which has a high
contrast to the background.
