Powder rheometer

The new Powder Flow Tester (PFT) has been introduced by Brookfield Engineering as part of the celebration of their 75th Anniversary. The Powder Flow Tester provides simple and fast analysis of powder flow behavior in industrial processing equipment. For manufacturers who process powders every day and need to minimize or eliminate the downtime and expenses resulting from failure to discharge from the hoppers/silos, the Brookfield PFT is a boon. Customers are able to use the new Powder Flow Tester to perform QC checks on incoming materials, identify the characteristics of new formulations for flowability quickly and adjust the composition so that its flow behavior resembles that of established products. Numerous test options are included in the Brookfield Powder Flow Tester. These include time consolidation, bulk density, flow function and wall friction. The duration of each test is estimated automatically before the test begins to allow for any adjustments required.
