The controller cards are inserted into the card slot of the compact inverter module
KW. The entire drive control is implemented via the digital signal processor on the card, including all the monitoring and communication. The controller cards KW-R03 and KW-R03P offer 2 slots for add-on cards (e.g. I/O card, fieldbus card, SERCOS interface, PLC card...). The add-on card is connected by means of a bus connector in the corresponding socket on the controller card.
