Andor iZyla sCMOS intensified scientific cameras lead the industry in terms of high speed, high resolution and a big field-of-view scientific CMOS. The camera is suitable for fast plasma imaging and Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV), along with LIF/PLIF and other combustion studies, A scientific CMOS has excellent acquisition rates and dual-imaging (PIV mode) functions. On the other hand, gated image intensifier units, based on C-mount coupling, with a lens-couple arrangement, with high resolution and throughput, have time resolution capabilities in the nanosecond range. The i-Zyla sCMOS combines all these features in a single unit. The cameras have quick frame rates, quick gating and modularity. They are equipped with dual-gain amplifiers. The signal-to-noise ratio is maximized by the high QE Gen2 and Gen3 intensifiers, low noise floor and photocathode with high repetition rates.
