Miniature tilt sensor Applied Geomechanics Incorporated
<1 µrad
Our Miniature Tilt Sensors are excellent for applications with size or weight constraints. They contain one or two of our electrolytic transducers (for single- or dual-axis measurements) potted or fastened to a solid metal block containing holes for vertical or horizontal mounting. Standard housings are made of anodized aluminum or 304 stainless steel. Choose from high-gain, mid-range, and wide-angle versions. Most of these sensors are available in radiation-resistant, vacuum-compatible, low-outgassing versions for synchrotron, space and other vacuum applications. Miniature Tilt Sensors can be operated using any of our signal conditioning units. Typical applications of these compact sensors include precise leveling and angular positioning of everything from X-ray mirrors to electromagnets, telescope structures to race car models in wind tunnels. Geophysicists use them in ocean bottom seismometer/tiltmeter systems and for cancellation of seismic noise in magnetometer measurements.
