Typical applications of these compact sensor modules include precise leveling and angular positioning of everything from X-ray mirrors to electromagnets, telescope frames to race car models in wind tunnels. Geophysicists use them in ocean bottom seismometer/tiltmeter systems and for cancelling noise caused by angular movements of precise magnetometers.
Our Miniature Tilt Sensors consist of one or two of our electrolytic transducers (for single- or dual-axis measurements) potted or fastened to a solid metal block containing holes for vertical or horizontal mounting. Anodized aluminum housings are standard, with 304 stainless steel used in low-outgassing vacuum-compatible versions. Choose from the high-gain Series 755, mid-range Series 756 and Model 84053, and wide-angle Models 84064-02 and 57579-02.
