Ring Type Metal Chip Crusher When nested turnings include solids, they must be removed from the chip processing system. The least expensive way to accomplish this is with a ring crusher. The ring crusher presses scrap material against a grate and cut down to a size that will fit through the grate. Any solids that cannot be pressed through the grate are sent out through the solids ejection chute. The ring crusher is a good choice for chip processing systems where metering of the materials is possible and solids are present.
