Magnetostrictive level sensor AquasantContents measurement for fuel stations, tank-storage facilities , etc. is carried out using the magnetostrictive measuring procedure. Magnetostriction sensors use a combination of magnetism (for contact-free transmission) and ultrasound (for timing).
The system guarantees a high and consistent level of measuring accuracy . The sensor does not need to be recalibrated for use in different liquids.
The sensor can, with a suitable float, be used at the same time for contents- as well as interface measurement. The sensor head converts the measurement reading into a standard 4-20 mA signal for transmission to the bus system. The output signal is automatically temperature-compensated.
Up to 24 sensors can be connected to the Aquasant FMS 1000 / FMS 2000 bus system. The display can show, at any time, readouts for product level, litres, product temperature, alarm status or water level.
The contents measurement system is approved for use in explosion-hazard zones, EEx ia IIB or IIA T4 (Zone 0).
