Instead of a belt, with this type of skimmer, a plastic or SS disc that is cleaned by skimmer blades is used. Because the disc may be positioned just over the edge of your process tank, this machine is specifically suited for applications with stable liquid levels just below the wall of the process tank.
Other advantages:
* Requires little space in the tank
* Higher chemical and temperature resistance than the belt skimmer
