PIR-fiber probes for 4-18µm range with detachable PIR-fiber loops have been design to provide a cost effective alternative to more expensive ATR-IR-fiber probes. As PIR-fiber is non-toxic, non-hygroscopic and non-brittle - it could be easy bent as a loop for immersion in liquids and put in contact with soft materials (as skin, tissue, powder, soft polymer, cream, etc.). Low cost disposable tips with PIR-fiber loops are easily removed and replaced when contaminated - while main probe cost is saved for long time exploitation.
Features:
* Compatible with all FTIR and other IR-spectrometers with SMA-terminated optical couplers
* Y-design with 2 legs of 1m length each. Optional leg length available on request. Each probe is supplied with 10 disposable loops in one set. Additional sets could be purchased separately
* Protection of legs by PEEK-2/3.2 tube and termination of probe input and output by SMA-connectors. PIR-fiber loops are sealed in PEEK-flanges
* Sealed head for probe junction with detachable PIR-fiber loops (PEEK-ferrule - Standard; Hastelloy, Titanium or Stainless Steel - on request) of 10mm diameter and 70mm length (other length available on request)
* Customized cap locks are also available - as all PIR-fiber probes can be modified to meet specific customer request
