PIR fiber cable coupled with Liquid Nitrogen cooled photoconductive MCT-detector excludes the need for costly and time-consuming optical alignments. The synergy of fast and sensitive MCT detector with flexible PIR-fibers of 1 to 10m length opens new application areas of endoscopic and multi-channel IR imaging and remote process IR-spectroscopy in "finger-print" region of spectra: 3-12µm
