General:
Power factor (PF) correction with capacitor banks is the
easiest and fastest way to get technical and economical
benefits as follows:
- To avoid payment of low PF penalties.
- To release capacity in the electrical system.
- To improve voltage regulation.
- To reduce system losses
Switched or automatic capacitor banks are easy to install,
require low maintenance and have low losses.
It is true that maximum benefits are gotten when capacitor
banks are installed as close as possible of low PF loads
(inductive loads), however sometimes this is not practical
or feasible, for this reason Tech-Tran offers a wide range
of fixed capacitor banks.
