The smART P500 series devices are Multifunction Protection Relays with Digital Technology, which make it possible to carry out protection, control, metering and communication functions in electrical systems. They can be used as stand-alone components or integrated within a system. There are multiple possibilities for their configuration and data exploration, the recording of events and faults, as well as oscillographic analysis.
The smART P500 Protection Relay family is comprised of different models that make it possible to protect, measure and manage a large number of applications, both for electrical networks and power distribution substations. Five models of relays are available: restorer control, feeder protection, transformer back-up, capacitor bank protection and back-up for sub-transmission lines.
The relays of the smART P500 series are designed to facilitate their integration into SmartGrid networks. They have a wide variety of communication protocols, which can be selected by the user with the keyboard or the proART® software in its different ports.
