AstraTint uses a fibre-optic coupled sensor head that makes testing large or awkward shaped products very easy, while also enabling multiple spot tests to be performed over wide surface areas. The PC driven system offers detailed graphical displays of the CIE L*a*b and x, y, z co-ordinates for colour measurement and ∆E values for colour comparison along with a full reflectance spectrum.
The user-interface guides the operator through a simple work-flow procedure that enables results to be obtained quickly and easily even by un-skilled operators. Zoom and Browse functions enable closer analysis of the spectral data while all results can be transferred to other applications for presentation or archiving.
Using quality optical components and a high resolution CCD Array detector AstraTint has no moving parts offering a rugged, maintenance-free system that can produce a full wavelength scan and colour measurement in less than two seconds.
