Screw jack gearboxes as linear motion transmissions are used in all applications where infinitely variable and accurately controllable lifting, lowering, feeding, pressing, tilting, swivelling and similar motions requiring a very high positioning precision are to be carried out, i.e. where rotary motions are to be converted into linear motions.
