Electric part-turn valve actuator
25 – 500 Nm
AUMA
SGC 04.1 - SGC 10.1
Electric part-turn actuators for automating butterfly valves, ball and plug valves
* Torques from 25 to 500 Nm
* Speeds for 90° between 4 s and 90 s
* Suitable for modulating duty in SGCR version
* Enclosure protection IP 68
* Ambient temperatures from -25 °C to 70 °C
* Corrosion protection up to C5 according to EN ISO 12944-2
The SGC range stands for high torques and restricted space. The compact design without protruding housing parts confirms the suitability of the series for use in confined spaces. Despite this compactness, all features characteristic for electric actuators were included: Simple, cost-efficient and - compared to pneumatic actuators - maintenance-free power supply, local controls for on site operation and handwheel for manual emergency operation.
Installation is extremely easy. A plug-in coupling allows easy adaptation between actuator and the valve; electrical connection is made via plug/socket connector. Once power supply is established, the actuator is immediately ready for operation.
Control from the DCS is possible either using the operation commands OPEN-STOP-CLOSE or by defining a position setpoint. Commands or feedback signals are exchanged either via conventional parallel interfaces of via fieldbus interfaces. AUMA devices support the following fieldbus protocols: Profibus (V0, V1) and Modbus RTU.
