Chesterton’s 186HTA Single Cartridge High Temperature Metal Bellows seal designed to meet API requirements for greater seal reliability in the most demanding services.
Twelve (12) convolution bellows core versus the industry standard of nine (9).
Achieves maximum bellows plate thickness while not compromising the bellows spring rate, which means controlled spring rate, lower heat generation and greater seal reliability.
Proven nesting ripple bellows design:
In the nesting ripple design, all bellows plates are identical and contoured to permit nesting when compressed.
Nesting distributes pressure uniformly accross the span of the bellows - less stress at the bellows welds.
