Mineral Insulated Thermocouples are in fire resistant magnesium oxide pressed thermo wires which ensures a high pressure resistance even under extreme conditions. The thermo wires of Thermocouples are always insulated from each other and from the sheath. The advantages of Mineral Insulated Thermocouples are mainly temperature resistance and the flexibility of the mineral insulated cable. This flexibility allows the installation into measuring points that are to hard to reach.
The minimal bending radius is 5 times outer diameter of the mineral insulated cable (min= d x 5). On request the Thermocouples can also be welded with the sheath to reach a quicker response time.
