BAL PAC 1200 Balance Technology

The Bal Pac 1200 is designed to measure vibration amplitudes as low as 1.0 micro inch displacement. The easy to read backlit display simultaneously displays both digital and bar graph readouts of the selected units (acceleration, velocity or displacement amplitudes). This unique combination yields the accuracy of a digital readout and the usability of an analog readout.

Vibration can be measured either full spectrum or at a specific R.P.M. with its tunable filter. Continuous manual frequency tuning employs automatic ranging from 72 to 720,000 C.P.M. The filter bandwidth is selectable between "narrow" and "wide" response or none. In addition, the Bal Pac 1200 has the ability to detect and analyze ultrasonic frequency vibrations to provide an early indication of bearing failure.

The Bal Pac 1200 can measure and plot a Vibration Power Spectrum over an operator selected specified range of frequencies. The stored record can be later displayed and downloaded to a computer for further evaluation.

With an optional photo-tach or laser-tach the Bal Pac 1200 can be used as a portable balancer. Upon completion of the easy 3-step calibration process the unit will display both amount and angle of unbalance for one or two planes. English and metric unbalanced data units are selectable by the operator. Selections include: oz-in, ft-lbs, g-mm, g-cm, kg-mm, or unbalance at the selected correction radius.
