Description

The alignment process of rotary machine is made of two parts, starting with the determination of the misalignment value, value of required machine movements and direction, followed by moving the machine and performing the alignment using alignment shims. The first task can be solved with low-cost devices, while the second task comes with different solutions. When it comes to ideal alignment sets of the company, BALTECH can calculate values for machine movements with an impressive accuracy. Only stainless steel calibration shims need to be inserted under machine foots for calibration. When the alignment shims are made of soft metal, for example transformer iron or plastic and paper, they can cause soft foot problems making the alignment fail. BALTECH also recommends using BALTECH-23458N calibration alignment shims, which are excellent stainless steel shims. Note that calibration shims are ideal for alignment, ensuring high accuracy and an operation that is more accurate.
