Battenfeld Extrusionstechnik manufactures complete extrusion lines for the production of Polyolefin multi-layer pipes with diameters of 10 mm - 63 mm
for the following applications:
- potable water transport
- hot water transport
- floor heating/radiators
- industrial applications.
Pipe with specific attributes, e.g. acoustic insulation, oxygen barrier, special optical, mechanical or thermal properties can be economically manufactured with extrusion lines from Battenfeld Extrusionstechnik.
Battenfeld's special side-fed dies for multi-layer pipe offer the following advantages:
- gentle processing of material highly sensitive to thermal and mechanical stress, even at low mass flow rates
- symmetrical distribution of pressure in the die through twin center sleeves preceded by a coathanger manifold
- thermal isolation of each individual layer of melt through the modular, consecutive connection of several distributors
- optimum melt homogeneity due to a brake-up plate located behind the side-fed distributor
- accurate wall thickness distribution
