Dual grid biaxial strain gauge

To select a correct gauge for specific transducer application, you are suggested to first refer to Strain Gauge Coding System in order for a better understanding of the gauge part number (P/N).
In the class-A gauge group, three series strain gauges are available for selection according to applicaion: ECF-, OCE- and EKF-series. All the ECF- and OCE-series strain gauges are both temperature compensated (STC) and creep-compensated (creep code) strain gauges. For EKF-series gauge, most of them are both temperature- and creep-compensated gauges, while for a perticular type of strain gauges, they may possess creep-, temperature- and effective modulus-compensation (EMC) as well.
In the group of class-B gauges, most of them are only temperature compensated strain gauges. There are two series available for selection according to applicaion: ECH- and ECI-series.
As long as temperature compensation has to be taken into account in stress analysis to achieve a better accuracy in measurements, it is recommended the BCM class-B' gauges (for stress analysis). There are three series available for selection according to applicaion: ECH-, ECI- and OCP-series.
If the stress analysis is performed at high temperature (250 °C) or performed in some special cases, such as in water-proof or for high elongation measurements, it is recommended to choose the BCM class-C gauges for those specific conditions. Five series can be found in this class: OKG-, ECU-, ECH-, OCA/OKA-, and OCI series.
